Bart Verheyen (g. 1986) graduated as a pianist at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, where he worked as assistant-professor lied and at the Conservatory of Lucerne, where he worked as assistant-professor piano. At an early age, he won numerous organ competitions, including a scholarship from the Flemish Government (YoTaM) and first prize at the national competition Axion Classics. He is finishing his Master’s diploma for organ under Joris Verdin at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp, where he works as a professor and accompanist. He has played with ensembles such as Collegium Novum Zürich, Odysseia and Oxalys, forms a lied duo with Katrien Baerts and collaborated with conductors such as Emilio Pomarico, David Robertson, Peter Rundel, Jonathan Stockhammer, Jeffrey Tate and Ronald Zollman. Bart has played concerts for Bozar, de Bijloke, Festival van Vlaanderen, Internationale Bachakademie Stuttgart, Lucerne Festival, Salzburg Biënnale, Tonhalle Zürich and VPRO.
