Lea Valiulina received her master’s degree cum laude from the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre in 2021 where she studied with professors Peep Lassmann and Ivari Ilja. She has also studied at the London Guildhall School of Music and Drama and as an exchange student – at the St. Petersburg State Conservatoire. She is currently active as a soloist, chamber musician and collaborative pianist and has performed in Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Russia, Germany, France, England and Italy. Lea has participated in various festivals and competitions, in which she received: laureate prizes in four consecutive years in the national intercollegiate piano competitions (2011–2014), 3rd prize in the Theodor Stein Competition (2019), a special prize in the IX Estonian Piano Competition (2019), 3rd prize in the Vilnius Scarlatti Award Competition (2022). Since 2022, Lea works in the Woodwind Department of the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre as a collaborative pianist.
