International Stasys Vainiūnas Competition for pianists
In 2015 David Munk-Nielsen (1998) started to study at the Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus with Søren Rastogi and Jakob Bahr. Since 2017 he has been studying at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki, in the class of professor Erik T. Tawaststjerna. David has participated and won prizes in several competitions, lately in 2017 he participated at the 8th Nordic Piano Competition in Sweden. Here he was awarded with the special prize for the best interpretation of a romantic work for his performance of Franz Liszt's Sonata in B minor.
