Gabija Maknavičiūtė (1997) graduated from the National M. K. Čiurlionis School of Art where she studied in the class of teacher-expert, associate professor of Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre Albina Šikšniūtė. Currently the pianist is studying at the LAMT, in the class of professor Zbignevas Ibelhauptas. Gabija has won prizes in more than 20 national and international competitions. Amongst the most important achievements in recent years it is worth mentioning the second prize at the 2nd International Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart Competition in Georgia and the Grand Prix at the International John Field Piano Competition in Ireland. Gabija has participated in open masterclasses led by Mira Marčenko, Vladimir Slobodian, Nina Seriogina, Jerome Lowenthal, Leonid Dorfman and others.
